On the show today is Writer, activist, and professor Tony Diaz as we discuss the ramifications of Coronavirus on the black and latino populations. We dive into the Harris County mask order that went into effect last week here in Houston, TX and we look at how Covid-19 has been weaponized to target the Democratic base.

Tony Diaz, El Librotraficante, was the first Chicano to earn an MFA from the University of Houston Creative Writing Program. He wrote the novel THE AZTEC LOVE GOD and is included in HECHO EN TEJAS: The Anthology of Texas Mexican Writers edited by Dagoberto Gilb. His essays have appeared in the Houston Chronicle, Texas Observer, CNN.com, the Los Angeles Times, and Huffington Post Latino Voices, among others. He edited the textbook “The Mexican American Studies Toolkit”.

MEET CAMERON KING A KICK-BOXER, RADIO PERSONALITY AND INDUSTRY INSIDER

Cameron King is a bilingual radio programmer and digital strategist. Born and raised in Houston, Tx, she has developed an affinity for the Spanish language throughout her travels to places such as Spain and Costa Rica. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Spanish at the University of Texas at San Antonio, she moved to Puerto Rico to pursue her Master’s in Spanish Translation.

Part 1

After moving back to Houston, she hit the ground running to jump start her communications career. As an on-air personality at KPFT 90.1, creating content that is organic, genuine and thought-provoking is her priority. A storyteller from the very beginning, she started as a theater kid at age 10; and as she got older, maneuvered into a multitude of creative spaces. Her goal is to transition from radio into the tv and film industries to appear on-camera, write, direct, and produce.

  • E-board personnel for Fashion Week San Antonio and African Fashion Week Houston

Keisha Davis is a trained physician in pathology as well as a classically trained African and Caribbean dancer for over 15 years.

Keisha Davis is a trained physician in pathology as well as a classically trained African and Caribbean dancer for over 15 years. During that time she physically trained hard and has developed a weight training, full body workout and aerobic routine that she believes will work for the busy professional. Dr. Keisha has used online training for dance classes and strongly believes in its effectiveness. She believes that the traditional gym does not always exist and sometimes online coaching is best for a client’s busy life and just as effective.
